The Novo Shade Duo+ is an advanced instrument is designed and built  with 3 modes of operation.

1. Opacity – Measuring the hiding power of a coating and plastic film. The instrument can help maintain the production quality of the following – Hiding power of paint, ink and coatings, Transparency of plastic film and Opacity of paper.
2. Shade – Measure the shade of surface on a grayscale. The instrument can help maintain the production quality of the following – Shades of paint, ink and coatings, Fading of textiles and plastics. 
3. Cleanliness – Measure the substrate cleanliness or oxidation of a surface. The instrument can help maintain the production quality of the cleanliness and oxidation of metal surface.
